ExtenZe Male Enhancement Product Image

ExtenZe Review

ExtenZe Male Enhancement Product ImageArguably one of the most popular male enhancement pills on the market, ExtenZe is a Viagra-alternate you’ve probably already heard of – that’s because the company has spent millions of dollars marketing it with TV commercials and celebrity endorsements.

Despite the hype, ExtenZe has a poor reputation within the industry. Manufacturers BIOTAB Nutraceuticals have seen their fair share controversy and are no strangers to the odd false-claim or two. The product first entered the market in the early 2000’s promising users a larger manhood, and despite several false advertising lawsuits and class actions, has been here to stay ever since.

In this ExtenZe review, we’re taking a look at exactly what users can and cannot expect.

Readers please note that statements on this page are fair comment based on observation. This content is produced on a matter of public interest.

What Is ExtenZe?

When it comes to male enhancement pills, the name ExtenZe may quickly come to mind, especially if you watched daytime TV at any point between 2005-2009!

Since it’s humble beginnings over 17 years ago, the product has seen backing from a number of high profile people, including porn star Ron Jeremy and ex-NFL football coach Jimmy Johnson – all were plastered all over TV and the internet, claiming ExtenZe was the best thing since sliced bread for men with impotence.

Currently, this product comes in two different versions, “ExtenZe Original” and “ExtenZe Black” – the former being the same formula as always and the latter being a “maximum strength” version.

ExtenZe Two Step Program

Rather than users starting with the max strength version, the direct advise from BIOTAB is that users should start with the original ExtenZe, then ramp up to the max strength ExtenZe black – both products are conveniently bundled together and are heavily pushed as a “two step program” which lasts two months and costs $49.90 + $4.95 shipping.

This product is available via the official ExtenZe website, as well as Amazon.

The ExtenZe Controversy & Lawsuit

ExtenZe have been the subject of a massive amount of scrutiny. In 2010 the company was slapped with a huge false-advertising lawsuit by the FTC, which ended in the company agreeing to pay out on a $6 million fine. The cause of the false advertising lawsuit was due to manufacturers not stating the proper disclaimer that none of their statements were approved by the FDA (so, in other words, they were not clearly stating to potential customers that their claims on the product were all fake and unfounded).

This may well be the most heavily marketed pill for erectile dysfunction ever. Not only was this product all over TV being described as an effective ED treatment, manufacturers BIOTAB Nutraceuticals also claimed the product could cause permanent penile growth (as the name “ExtenZe” kind of implies) and improve bedroom performance overall. Other false statements were that the product was clinically studied, despite no such studies existing on PubMed.

The false advertising was kept up for years, with the company making enormous amounts of money from TV ad campaigns; Take a look at the commercial below:

Interestingly, when looking at the registered trademark holders of the word “ExtenZe”, we can see prior to BIOTAB Nutraceuticals owning the term, the phrase was owned by a company named “Dish Direct Inc” (source) – could the manufacturers of ExtenZe have been in direct partnership with the TV giant Dish? We can only speculate, there is a good chance this may have been a copy-cat company.

ExtenZe claim that they have sold over 1 billion pills, which based on our rough estimates is around $1.4 billion in turnover to date – not bad for something built on a foundation of lies and deception.

Of course nowadays, BIOTAB have totally gone back on their claims; now they don’t really say anything concrete in regards to their products ability. They also go as far to signal their virtue to potential customers by stating that they don’t make “outrageous claims” because they’re the #1 brand in the market.

If you looked up the definition of irony.. Well, feel free to re-watch the above TV commercial again.

Does ExtenZe Work?

Not really, no – but let us elaborate on that statement a little bit more. There are no ingredients inside ExtenZe with any conclusive scientific evidence showing they help users gain and maintain an erection. What’s more, there is nothing inside the formula that will make your penis larger; any product that claims it can perform such a feat is flat-out lying to you – it is a total impossibility.

While further researching the ingredients within the formula, our ExtenZe review team made a rather interesting discovery – this product contains an extremely powerful stimulant named Yohimbe Extract, which is a substance that WedMD have officially labelled as “possibly unsafe”. The ingredient carries with in some potentially nasty side effects (detailed below in our side effects information section).

On a more positive note, we have found ingredients inside ExtenZe that have the potential to boost energy levels and elevate libido. An enhanced libido can ease the onset of arousal, however if you’re erectile dysfunction is caused by an underlying medical issue, such as low testosterone, then you’ll more than likely not see too much in the way of results from using this product. We would advise our readers that this product, in our opinion, is designed for otherwise healthy males.

Are There Any ExtenZe Reviews From Customers?

We have found the following ExtenZe review testimonials via customers online:

Well, I read a lot of reviews of this product before buying it and maybe some were true, but my own experience after using it for a week is absolutely nothing. And I do mean nothing! Meaning I might as well have not taken anything, cause my body had no response to it AT ALL. That being said, I’ve had the same experience with viagra. Not even that had any effect on me. So, maybe it’s just an individuals personal body chemistry that makes these drugs work or not work, I can only tell you that for me it was wasted money and time.

definite energy boost but did not help in any other way

Our Final Verdict On ExtenZe

To conclude our ExtenZe review, it’s a bit of a mixed bag – there are things that we like about it and things that we aren’t too blown away by. While the company has a sketchy past, the product in it’s current form isn’t terrible, it’s just certainly not the miracle pill most people think it is. The product will help elevate libido and boost energy, but that’s about all you can expect. It’s not going to make your genitalia larger and it’s not going to really improve your blood circulation (that claim is unfounded).

One alarming thing is that this product contains Yohimbe, which comes with a whole host of negative side effects – it has even been marked as “possibly unsafe” by WedMD.

Finally, the sky-high price point of ExtenZe, seems not worth it – especially when you consider our top recommended blue pill costs a mere $22.49 in comparison to $49.90.
