As we get older, our testosterone levels drop and along with that our sex drive. It’s no secret that erectile dysfunction carries a seriously negative social-stigma. As it happens, perfectly healthy younger men can also suffer from the ailment, though often the issue is psychological. Whatever the cause, there is a huge industry catering to the treatment of male sexual dysfunction.
Time and time again we see these types of products entering the market promising to be the latest ‘innovation’ in male enhancement, and Xanogen is no exception. The website has all the hallmarks of a scam; fake trust seals, provably-false health claims, little-to-no manufacturer information and ridiculously high prices.
In this Xanogen review, we’re helping our readers understand what exactly they can and cannot expect from this hyped up product.
Readers please note that statements on this page are fair comment based on observation. This content is produced on a matter of public interest. Statements on this page are our honest opinion.
What Is Xanogen?
Xanogen is a male enhancement pill produced by a company named Applied Science Labs.
While searching for further information on this company, we found absolutely nothing on any official database for the term “Applied Science Labs”, however after running the company address through the Better Business Bureau we found that the same address is registered to a company named “Health Formula Inc”. After reading the company’s BBB profile we were shocked to find they have six customer complaints, all mentioning that they were repeatedly billed by the company without their permission.
One bottle of Xanogen itself costs a massive $89.95 (+ $7.95 shipping), it contains 60 capsules which equates to 30 servings (making 1 serving cost $3.26); it is available from the official Xanogen website.
Users of Xanogen are promised a multitude of far-fetched effects such as significantly boosted testosterone levels, increased blood-flow to the penis, “rock hard erections” and increased sexual stamina.
Does Xanogen Work?
The one thing we implore our readers to do is to not believe the hype; with Xanogen we have another classic example of false advertising that is playing on the insecurities of men.
As we stated above, users are told they can expect harder erections, easier with Xanogen – unfortunately after careful research we found that they can expect no such thing. We could not find a single conclusive piece of scientific research that states any ingredient within this “male enhancement” formula will perform such a function.
Furthermore, users shouldn’t expect an increase in the amount of time they can last in the bedroom. To confirm, this is not a treatment for premature ejaculation. The promised increase in “sexual-stamina” is another nothing-statement with absolutely no scientific backing. The product does have a highly powerful stimulant inside, which will no doubt boost your normal energy levels, but don’t expect to be lasting for 30+ minutes – that simply just isn’t going to happen.
While we fully acknowledge that the below video is a silly prank call, it does shed some light onto the company’s conduct – during the phone call the operator essentially confirms that results aren’t guaranteed and that users should be using the product for at least 6-8 weeks (so you’re going to need to be ordering multiple bottles of Xanogen).
What’s more, the product contains an ingredient named Yohimbe Bark, which has been officially marked as “possibly unsafe” by WebMD. This ingredient is a high-powered stimulant with some seriously negative side effects (listed in our side effects section), it can be lethal for those with high blood pressure or heart problems – something many older-aged men may have.
On a more positive note, we have found an ingredient inside the product that has the potential to increase user libido levels, which may ease the onset of arousal.
The Pros & Cons Of Xanogen
Below we have made a list of all the things we’d personally consider either a positive or negative:
- Comes with a guarantee.
- May boost energy levels.
- May elevate libido levels.
- Manipulated amazon reviews according to Fakespot.com.
- Extortionately expensive price point.
- Many false claims are being made.
- Manufactures actively attempt to hide their true identity.
- Contains a potentially unsafe ingredient.
How Safe is Your Data With Xanogen?
Another eyebrow-raising issue we have picked up on is that the website is littered with false privacy and user-protection seals, which begs the question, is your personal and payment data safe?
At the bottom of the website we can see that there is a TrustArc “TRUSTe Certified Privacy” seal (shown below). The mark is a guarantee that user privacy is safe and that no-one can tamper with sensitive data like names, addresses, credit cards details etc.
Breaches of personal data can lead to things like identity fraud, credit card fraud and other undesirable things. A quick search on the TrustArc database revealed no such registration at all, meaning your data is probably at risk (source: TRUSTe Participants Database).
Any company that has to trick potential customers into believing the site is completely secure is probably not a company you should be handing your credit card details to, in our opinion.

Are There Any Xanogen Reviews From Customers?
We have found the following Xanogen review testimonials via customers online:
Don’t buy it, totally waste of money.
Didn’t work at all or like it is explained.
We were highly skeptical at the large amount of non-verified positive reviews left on this Xanogen’s Amazon listing so we ran it through the Fakespot software to detect for manipulation. We got back the following results:
“Our engine has profiled the reviewer patterns and has determined that there is high deception involved.”
Our Final Verdict On Xanogen
To conclude our Xanogen review, we do not recommend it at all. This product promises way more than it can deliver – the most you can really expect from it is a boost in energy levels and maybe an increase in libido. The formula will absolutely not make gaining an erection easier (science says that’s a lie).
The conduct of this company seems pretty appalling and they’re ticking all the right boxes for an elaborate scam – especially when we’ve located six customer-complaints stating they were repeatedly billed by the company without their permission.
Finally, the potentially unsafe ingredient and the negative side effects are not something we recommend our readers risk. Overall we’d advise you find a better product.
